May 21 & 22, 2007, a Rasmussen Poll showed that 76% of voters prefer Attrition through Enforcement and self-deporation of illegal aliens. When voters had this choice , the choice of rewards, legal status, etc., or the choice mass forced deportation, they overwhelmingly chose Attrition through Enforcement.
There are 7 million low skilled illegal aliens with no more than a high-school education that hold paying jobs in the USA. There are 23 million unemployed, low skilled US citizens and other legal residents with no more than a high school education. When illegal aliens begin to pack up their bags and familes to voluntarily leave the USA, the 23 million citizens and legal residents will step in and take those jobs as soon as the employers offer to pay fair living wages and improved working conditions.
After ICE removed 600 illegal workers from the Swift Company’s job site, US citizens and legal residents were standing in line to take those 600 jobs.
The common refrain that there is a shortage of low skilled labor in the USA is a myth. There are millions of Americans who will take hard, dirty jobs if the employer offers a fair, living wage and acceptable working conditions.
I do not think that the City should declare that it is a sanctuary city for illegal aliens. I think the city should go after illegal employers and severly penalize them where it hurts-the pocketbook. If the cost is too high, they will stop employing illegal aliens instead of US citizens and other legal residents
San Francisco should be a Sanctuary City for US citizens and other legal residents, not illegal aliens and their families.
Mayor Newsom, your proclamation that the City is a Sanctuary City helps to draw increasing numbers of illegal aliens into California and San Francisco. This illegal migration hurts taxpaying US citizens and their standard of living.
I will support you in your run for Mayor only if you proclaim that San Francisco is no longer a Sancturary City. Please stand up for US citizens and voters, especially those of the group of 23 million that I mentioned earlier.
Take care,
Eric
