Dear Mayor,
I have a suggestion and am not sure if this is the correct venue for its airing but here goes anyway.
I believe that San Francisco is sorely missing a wind horn system. "A wind horn?" you might ask?
Well, upon doing some amateur observation in the park over the last few weeks, it seems that there is a large number of kites and frisbees stuck in trees in Golden Gate Park and in the Presidio as well.
We have a foghorn system, why not have a wind horn that blows when the air is too blustery for the [safe]throwing of frisbees and flying of kites.
I propose that the wind horn has a much higher and shrill pitch than a foghorn so that residents can easily tell them apart.
Please, think about it. The wind horn can save kites. It can save frisbees. It can help women decide how to style their hair for the day; gentleman will know which hat to wear.
Everyone wins with a wind horn.
I eagerly await your response.
Yours in Citizenry,
Frank Flaherty
