YES, YES, YES!!!!!! A million thank-yous, Mayor, for pointing out the tremendous harm that we are doing with bottled water. It is beyond ridiculous to put plastic into the environment to decompose for thousands of years every time we take a drink of water. I know you realize that people are drinking bottled water because it’s "the thing to do"- they don’t even care where it comes from as long as it comes in a bottle. Seriously- if you’re buying Costco brand bottled water to save money, doesn’t that say you don’t care what kind of water you’re drinking? So drink from the tap- get a filter or refrigeration system. But stop polluting the planet when you don’t even care what you’re drinking.

 

I know I’m preaching to the choir, but it feels so good to know that someone-SOMEONE WITH POWER- realizes this and is doing something about it. Another million thank-yous.
