The new building at City College that is about to be built over the old reservoirs could serve as a wind generating station. It sits smack dab in the middle of the Alemany wind corridor. If the proposed lots were actually removed and the building built a little higher and with a concave design facing west, it could funnel wind below the building through the lots. This would also help the heating costs of the other campus buildings as it would slow down the wind. Its very difficult to find places to put wind turbines but this is perfect for it. They could be very large and the funneling effect would add quite a lot to it. The only "loss" here is the parking spots. But shouldn’t city college have more commuters by mass transit anyways?
