I was just in NYC and was amazed at how much cleaner their streets are than ours. As I’d walk down the street at 8am, the sidewalks had all been hosed down and seemed almost pristine. As opposed to Market Street in SF. I work at 3rd and Market, and the streets are disgustingly dirty. Obviously we have water issues they may not have, but the machines which "clean" our streets using no water do not do the trick. It really needs to be addressed as it adversely affects how one views our remarkable city.
