I am 11 years old. This was my homework.
Summary: We do not realize how much trash we have put in the bay over the last 15 years. Last year, the Save The Bay Organization picked up a ton of trash. 10,000 pounds. In the process they have found washers and dryers, tires, oil cans, and plastic bags. researchers say in 2020 there will be 8.1 million people in the bay area. 8.1 million more pieces of trash to pickup. Soon they will have us coming to local beaches on Saturday! to pickup trash. iiiiiccckkkk.
Opinion: My opinion is to naturally agree with Peter, the author of this article for the SF Chronicle. It is sad to see the environment being dumped on. People should recycle or put their trash in a dump. We should start cleaning up up right now before this gets out of hand. this is hurting nature badly.
