Excellent idea to ban them. Here’s another idea, ban the paper ones too. The Dutch don’t give out bags of any kind. If you forget to bring your own grocery bags, then you have to buy a big, reusable one for around 5 Euros. Smart. It gets people in the habit of reusing. It is one more step towards not being a "throw-away" culture.
