Here’s an idea you’ll never use: Focus on San Francisco residents before tourists. Start with the cable car lines. Why is it that if I want to take a cable car from Powell/Market to say North Beach to have a nice dinner with my girlfriend, I have to wait in an unreasonable cable car line full of people who only desire to ride it all the way to the end? Allow people with monthly fast passes to skip the line. There are so few of them relative to the tourists in line that the affect on tourist wait times will be minimal, and actual residents will get to use the cable cars when they want. I live here all year round and rarely get a chance to take a cable car because I don’t have an hour to wait in line. While we’re at it, ban those ridiculously large tour buses. We want people to visit our city, but people who live here should have priority. We also want people to visit our city, but to actually VISIT it, not tour around it in a hermetically sealed box that is an eye-sore, traffic blocker and polluter. These buses are TOO LARGE for our narrow compact, pedestrian-friendly streets.

Mr. Witheld,
I think what you need is a good accountant. Monthly passes are generally considered a poor investment for people who rarely use a cable service. In fact, they are generally for frequent users. This money could be better spent on a down payment for a bicycle. Maybe then you wouldn’t have to take your “girlfriend” out using public transportation.

I can’t believe they even still let you post on this forum. You’re an idiot, quite obviously have nothing valuable to say, and are here to start a confrontation. That said, I’ll take the bait… this time.
I rarely ride cable cars, but I do regularly take MUNI both the metro and busses. I’ve done the math myself, and I do actually save money buying a fast pass… thanks for your concern.
I own a bicycle and a car as well that I use when appropriate, for example, when we go out to dinner in other neighborhoods where driving isn’t irresponsible. Also, a nice cable car ride is a pretty nice thing to enjoy with someone that you love. No doubt you can’t understand something like this since you’re obviously incapable of emotion and no one could love someone as awful as you.

Your right - I never understood unconditional love I first saw Gavin Newson on TV. And frankly I don’t care if he doesn’t love me back!
