I rarely ride cable cars, but I do regularly take MUNI both the metro and busses. I've done the math myself, and I do actually save money buying a fast pass... thanks for your concern. I own a bicycle and a car as well that I use when appropriate, for example, when we go out to dinner in other neighborhoods where driving isn't irresponsible. Also, a nice cable car ride is a pretty nice thing to enjoy with someone that you love.
