1. There area still many seniors in the outer areas of San Francisco. Seniors that are 65+. Perhaps it would be good for these people to know that the city cares about them – even though they do not ask for any special low-income city services. City representatives just checking in with them to talk to them and make sure they are okay may prevent instances of elder abuse and of people taking advantage of our senior citizens. Perhaps a volunteer group could be established to just go out and visit the seniors once a month or so.
2. If there is not a website "Healthy San Francisco", I think it would be a good idea to make one. There should be links for public courses on a variety of health-related topics. I would include special self-defense or "Stay Safe" type courses for different age groups. The city could include recreation and exercise classes for adults like they do for children and the youth. City sponsored walking groups and running groups with goals for achievement could also be established. There are unlimited ways to help keep everyone in San Francisco healthy.
