There is already a solution - bike lanes; which are largely unused. The sidewalk is already full of runners, walkers, tourists, moms with carriages etc. Bikes are dangerous and should not be allowed. I ride often and I use the bike lanes. Bikes should follow the same rules as cars. The benefit to cyclists is they don’t have to dodge pedestrians. The bike coalition is fighting for cyclists rights and I agree, but cyclists should do their part and be courteous, conscientious riders. Please ban bikes along the Embarcadero. The bike lanes are already in place.
Thanks,
Heidi
