Dear Mr. Mayor, While the issue of funding and supporting a major sports team is a complicated one, I feel (and kindly hear me out on this) that it would be a gain for San Francisco for the 49ers to relocate to Santa Clara. There is a tremendous amount of open land at the end of Geneva Ave. to the east. I have heard that the land is owned by the railroad. If this is true why not work with them to build the stadium there? It is close to the freeway. The new 3rd street Muni Metro line stops close by, and a Caltrain station is also close by. You could even work a historical rail theme into the stadium by including a railroad museum.
