Concerning Chronicle article "S.F. Boom Boosts Mayor". We expect Mayor Newsom and Board of Supervisors to create a better San Francisco. Though they have an effect, to actually transform San Francisco into the place we say we yearn for, each San Franciscan must change. You and I have contributed individually in making San Francisco and our callousness, insensitivity and self-centeredness maintain what it is.
Virtually everybody in San Francisco lives better, longer lives with playthings the wealthy of 50 years ago could not imagine. Nevertheless personal wealth and comfort remains paramount, we continue to fight or resist – everybody being against somebody, Read This Posty »

Why can't he just be replaced with the #2 or #3 person who ran in the election against him, if they are still interested?

While we’re at it, why does the City of SF own the airport? Why don’t we sell it, as London did with Heathrow? It would net us $billions. Then again, the mayor and supes would have $billions to spend…never mind.

You would help your city employees by stating your position in writing on Sandoval's workplace mobbing idea at the board. Mobbing occurs a lot at SFGH. Be brave and solve this problem asap. We need you asap.

I am very concerned about the violence that continues to persist in the Bayshore and Hunter's Point neighborhoods in the city. The conviction rate is unacceptable and I see firsthand how these families are affected (I manage a men's store in the Bayshore area).
I suggest that we work at a very grassroots level to bring attention to this issue that will not just go away. I suggest Sophie Maxwell demand that these areas get more attention from the Board in terms of community involvement and resources needed to combat the crime, but also to educate these mostly young individuals Read This Posty »

Get him a ticket to Hawaii. Maybe he needs a long vacation!
In all seriousness, this guy needs to be taken off of the Board of Supervisors. He is totally out of control and his displays of threatening behavior indicate some serious psychological problems. He could pose a very dangerous threat to anyone that opposes him. He needs to be held accountable for his recent behavior. He should be removed from the Board of Supervisors. I will be emailing all the Supervisors with my opinion of this volatile situation. He is an embarrassment and a danger. Ciao!

SFGH needs an immediate audit of two depts---opd and xrays. Is it true that any audit is being blocked by the G.A./O. COMMITTEE of the board??? The new health access plan and the upcoming SFGH bond issue needs a reformed SFGH, not a wasteful/inefficient provider of service. There are witnesses who can give you necessary details. Clinton and Nixon both learned that the cover-up is alot worse than the original violations.
Honest Abe just wants to help you. Read This Posty »

Sign up Chris Daly in the Homeless Connect program so he can get a shower and a shave and look half-way presentable while he's making an ass of himself.

1. If you can't get the Supervisors to approve a city-wide Deal with Google for free WiFi, how about proposing a pilot program to bring in to the Bayview NOW! Give them a year or two to perform, and then go for a city-wide deal.
2. No one would live in public housing given a chance. They breed gangs and violence. Do not re-build public housing. Better to tear them down, build individual houses, and give them away to the occupants. At least this would give them the opportunity to share in the American Dream.
3. Please go after owners of houses Read This Posty »

You want more people using public transportation. That means more people out of cars, less co2, etc.
I want to use public transportation. I tried it. It is not an option. Why: It is miserable and inefficient beyond endurance.
Examples:
*A trip from SFO took over an hour. An 11 minute commute. A wait in fog, no shelter for over half an hour at Balboa Park for a bus that comes every 30 minutes - occasionally, being the main problem.
*A need to access my home on Mt Davidson via either Balboa or Glen Park Station on a weekend from the Mission, a ten Read This Posty »

I really do not like being petty or mean or finding fault with politicians. I try to look for the good in everyone. The Board of Supervisors, particularly Mr. Chris Daly, are starting to get on my nerves. I am not in the mood today after seeing numerous articles and his reaction to the Mayor's plan for free Wifi, to hold my peace any longer.
Our Mayor should not have to answer to that ridiculous man, Chris Daly...the man is a waste of time for the taxpayers...he only appears to spend his time trashing the Mayor. Instead citizens should hold Read This Posty »

1. Institute a suit in Federal Court forcing the Board of Supervisors to realign districts on a realistic count of legal residents. I'm convinced that the current districts are, in many cases, drawn out of proportion to their actual population. South of Market is a good example. They have a vote, and so does the huge Sunset District. Doesn't compute, at least to me.
2. 11 Supervisors are too many for a 7 mile by 7 mile city. The reason we have so many is because 100 years ago, the county of San Francisco stretched all the way to San Francisquito Read This Posty »

You have to let the voters know much more than you do right now about how much you have done for the city. One of the City architects told me at a wake of all things how much you have done for public housing. I had never heard of it. Talk of your accomplishments. Talk about your contributions. Get it into any paper you can. It has to get out much broader than you are doing. I want you to get re-elected. Don't get involved in squabbles right now or anything that has been a controversy. Talk about your accomplishments Read This Posty »

Mayor Newsom; I'd like to see you champion a return to city-wide elections, as the district elections produce such a poor crop of supervisors who embarrass us with their demogogic proposals. We especially should cease to treat housing as a socialist sector. People who own property should not have burdens placed on its use that are tantamount to a "taking," We should do more to keep business operations in the city, rather than have them move to the suburbs, which causes middle class and professional class people to leave, too. And we should build no more low income housing--that's the Read This Posty »

The vast majority of San Franciscans want clean, green, truly renewable power: wind, solar, and tidal, produced as close to where we use it, here in San Francisco, as possible. We want to see the Community Choice Energy Aggregation legislation passed by Ross Mirikarimi passed by the Board of Supervisors this month and hope that you and your staff will do all that you can to make sure that this finally happens. Many people have given many years of their lives to see San Francisco operate on clean, sustainable power, that harms neither San Franciscans, other people, or species. And Read This Posty »
