There is a tremendous amount of open land at the end of Geneva Ave. to the east. I have heard that the land is owned by the railroad. If this is true why not work with them to build the stadium there? It is close to the freeway. The new 3rd street Muni Metro line stops close by, and a Caltrain station is also close by. You could even work a historical rail theme into the stadium by including a railroad museum. Currently the land appears to only contain a couple of old dilapidated buildings some unused rail, and tons Read This Posty »

During events at AT&T park, traffic is snarled, Muni trains are overcrowded, and parking is impossible. As a solution I would suggest:
1. Creating a detour for traffic between 280 and Embarcadero that avoids King Street during game nights. During events, traffic often backs up way down 280.
2. More trains during AT&T park events! J, K, L, M, N should all run to Caltrain during these events. The trains are so crowded they often run right by the stop at 2nd & Brannan even when passengers are waiting to board.
3. Restrict parking during events! All neighborhood streets should be 2-hour parking Read This Posty »

Why is SF lagging behind London and NYC? Aren't we supposed to be the most progressive city - particularly when it comes to environmental measures. SF needs to get on board with these other cities and charge drivers a congestion tax for driving downtown. This would make the city cleaner, easier to get around, and a hell of a lot more environmentally friendly. The revenue, of course, would need to go toward expanding and improving the quality of the city's public transit options. I guarantee there'd be far fewer cars downtown if, for example, BART extended further down the Peninsula Read This Posty »

To connect Marin county with the end of cal train in SF - create a new mass transit system -- which utilizes pre-existing roadways and is built on an elevated BART-like track right down the center median (and sometimes on the sides when necessary) and utilizing the pre-existing passageway that leads under the golden gate bridges' roadbed leading into Marin county (the GG bridge designer had a futuristic vision and saw mass transit in the bridges' future, so the potential excess weight tolerances are likely built-in)...

There are an unacceptable number of delays on the Metro. On Metro lines from Caltrain (formerly N, now T and J), trains have to wait for as much as 10+ minutes to enter the tunnel between Folsom and Embarcadero, and then often stop multiple times in the tunnel before reaching Embarcadero station. The situation is similar for the J and N entering the tunnel at Church St. Separately, passengers waiting for a given line may wait for 25+ minutes while multiple trains for every other line pass. This is because trains on a single line (e.g., N Judah) bunch up, Read This Posty »

Completely abandon any attempt to create a regional transit center. Ugly concrete and glass will be dark at night and stink of urine. Women won't dare to walk alone in that environment. How about tearing down the current Caltrain station and rebuild the beautiful station that we used to have at 3rd and Townsend. Small shops on the ground floor, a market in front twice a week. The new underground will run right by there anyway. The City will have another mini environment which will create interest for locals and tourists.
Ugly, ugly regional center. Stop spending money on consultants and Read This Posty »
