Something has to be done to change the San Francisco culture of running red lights.  I have lived in Boston, Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles and haver never seen drivers so accustomed to blowing through red lights.  It is an extremely dangerous situation.  Yellow lights mean "SLOW DOWN down" not "SPEED UP".  Contributing to the problem is the short duration of yellow lights.  In San Francisco they are much shorter than in other cities, which can make it too dangerous at times for a driver to slow and stop at the intersection for fear of being Read This Posty »
