Red Light Runners and Short Yellow Lights

Something has to be done to change the San Francisco culture of running red lights. I have lived in Boston, Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles and haver never seen drivers so accustomed to blowing through red lights. It is an extremely dangerous situation. Yellow lights mean "SLOW DOWN down" not "SPEED UP". Contributing to the problem is the short duration of yellow lights.
