Study what NYC did in the 90's to completely turn around that city's homeless situation.
If you can't fix the problem, please resign and let someone who can have the job. If this isn't your #1 priority, it should be. By far.

You can only help those who want to be helped and who really need it.
I am tired of seeing the system get tied up helping idiots who are trying to con someone or hurt someone on purpose. These people need to realize they need to walk a straight line because they are not going to be helped or be given a free ride for being a repeat problem. If they are a repeat then something has to happen to make them not repeat.

Hello Mayor Newsom,
Have you noticed that the physical condition of many of our city streets is absolutely horrendous? How about putting some homeless people to work in repairing city streets? Solve two problems at once.

I always want to sign on for this, but they always seem to be scheduled on weekdays. I propose Homeless Connect plans for Saturday or Sunday events as well. I'm sure there are many San Franciscans who work full time, M-F jobs who would love to be a part of this program.
