1) We need separate lane just for bicycle (next to pedestrian pavement) like Europe, instead of letting the bicyclist ride through the traffic & pedestrians dangerously.
2) We need more traffic light timers on 19th Avenue to avoid unnecessary accidents for crossroad pedestrians, esp. for the seniors and people with leg & knee problem. Instead, we have traffic light timers on 7th Avenue and not on 9th Avenue in Sunset. Wider road or Blvd need timer as it takes longer time to cross.
Thank you!

Too many bicyclists run stop signs and stop lights. In addition, they do not yield for pedestrians and also ride their bikes on sidewalks.
SF needs bike registration, licensing and policing of some type.
Safe and responsible biking is important, but the lobby of the Bike Coalition and environmental activism for some reason has given bike riders an attitude of non-conformity and irresponsibility.
Smart solution:
-- any new bike should sold in SF has to be registered with the city.
-- any bike rider must pass a basic "rules of the road" course and get licensed
-- the city incent safe riding through "free"

As it stands, pedestrians have the right of away when crossing the street at four-way stops/intersections. This is frustrating for drivers that patiently heed the way of pedestrians that walk into the crosswalk without acknowledging the cars that have been waiting, causing a longer wait for cars to cross the intersection. I recommend we implement an initiative that pedestrians give the same courtesy to drivers as drivers give to other drivers at four-way stops. I have frequently witnessed people running into intersections without glimpsing at the driver just expecting them to stop. We should go back to old standard: look

Safer crosswalks for the blind with beeping signals. Timed crosswalks with numerical countdowns for all drivers/pedestrians are fantastic! Let's put them everywhere.
