While I 100% support universal health care, the City of San Francisco is going about it in exactly the wrong way. How is it fair to require that a small percentage of the population arbitrarily provide health care for the whole? The way the system is set up, a restaurant employing 25 people would give nearly 50% of their profits up to health care - hardly a winning proposition. The solution to health care is a single payer system, not penalizing entrepreneurs who bring diversity of goods and services to our city.

Overall Rating: 1

While I'm convinced that the best, most efficient, most equitable and most suitable long-term strategy is a national health plan offering universal coverage, I fully support state and local health coverage initiatives such as the San Francisco Plan. I'm glad that the state is supporting this idea and that the California officials can get a state level initiative passed.

Overall Rating: 1

with all the injured and/or debilitated troops, universal health care is a must for the future of america in general - we must divert our financial resources from supporting destruction - to supporting protection...
